NFL Week 7 Betting: Locks Of The Week

We’re back for the seventh week of NFL betting action. Hopefully, you joined us on our video show breaking down Week 7’s slate of games as well as our locks of the week. If you didn’t, check out the video below:

If you’ve followed along over the last two seasons of the TDN Fantasy Podcast, you know my and Jake Arians’ “Locks of the Week” have paid out. We’re doing them again this season and adding this written component. Let’s dive in, with all odds being supplied by our friends over at BetOnline.

Double Lock: Seahawks -3 (-130)

Despite their blow out victory against the Cowboys on Monday night, I still have plenty of questions about Kyler Murray and Arizona’s offense. They hit some big plays and got a huge garbage time touchdown run late from Kenyan Drake, but let’s just say they were far from efficient. Although Seattle’s defense hasn’t proven to be much of a threat to stop anyone this season, the Seahawks’ offense has been sensational. MVP frontrunner Russell Wilson and Co. are well-rested coming off a bye facing a Cardinals defense, on a short week, that still isn’t good despite what you saw on Monday night. Arizona’s big showing in prime time makes this a much more reasonable line in favor of Seattle and I’m pouncing on it.

Jaime’s Lock No. 1: Bills -13 (-115)

Yeah, so I’m just going to keep betting against the Jets until someone gives me a reason not to bet against the Jets. Although this is dangerously close to falling into a presumed narrative and not actual analysis, I have to believe that this Bills team, coming off back-to-back embarrassing prime time losses, will be more than ready to not only beat the Jets, but demolish them. This has all the makings of a true “get right” game for Buffalo, as they stifle the very few pieces the Jets have on offense and Allen returns to his early-season form, lighting up the scoreboard. Plus, Adam Gase’s teams are the gift that keeps on giving in these scenarios. Here’s a fun stat, courtesy of the New York Daily News:

Gase, who left Hard Rock Stadium a loser for a second consecutive season, has more double-digit losses (32) than total wins as a head coach. He’s lost 26 games by at least two touchdowns and 20 games by at least 18 points.

I’m banking on yet another game being added to those two columns this week.
